Washington’s aerospace industry is fighting for its survival. Covid-19 has forced furloughs and suspension of production by manufacturers across the state. Defense contracts have kept some aerospace operations open and workers on payroll, producing critical components for programs essential to national security. Washington will lose one of those job-generating programs unless Congress acts.
