UK Exports to Non-EU Countries Grow 4.2% - Exports to the USA up 9.6%
New statistics released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reveal that UK exports of goods and services to countries outside of the European Union grew at almost double the rate to those in the trading bloc.
The latest trade figures from the ONS show a 4.2% increase in exports to countries outside of the EU, in comparison to a rise of 1.6% to EU member countries.
Of particular interest is that in the year ending June 2019, exports of goods and services to the USA increased by 9.3% from £115.7 billion in the 12 months prior, to £126.4 billion.
