BABC Director Mark Drechsler Selected as Director of Business Development for the Controls & Avi
On October 31, BAE Sytems announced the selection of Mark Drechsler as Director of Business Development (BD) for the Controls & Avionics Solutions (CAS) Business Area.
Mark has held several key manufacturing, procurement, and program management roles during his career at BAE Systems. Most recently, Mark was responsible for the Boeing Commercial Aircraft relationship, front line support to Boeing development & production programs, new business development & strategy, as well as the local facilities and BAE Systems personnel in Seattle.
Prior to his Boeing assignment, Mark was a Program Manager based in Rochester, UK, where he led the development of the flight controls for Bombardier CSeries aircraft. Other prior roles included program manager for Active Sticks and Head Up Displays delivering some of the business' leading technologies within the defense and aerospace industry.
Prior to his program management roles, Mark built a foundation of cross-functional experience in manufacturing and supply chain where he improved supplier quality and delivery to support a suite of primary products delivered out of our Rochester, UK facility.
Mark has also served in the role of Director for the Pacific Northwest chapter of British-American Business Connections, helping drive the chapter's growth and expansion of activities, with particular emphasis on the aerospace sector.
Mark assumed the CAS BD Director role effective 5 November 2018, and will be based in Endicott, NY.
