Greater Portland Inc. (GPI) provides support and services to companies seeking to relocate or expand in Greater Portland, a region that spans two states and seven counties. A true public-private partnership model, GPI is supported by more than 70 public-sector partners and private investors who are committed to advancing regional economic development through job growth and investment. GPI and our partners are shaping the region’s economic future and marketing Greater Portland to the world.
Prosper Portland is the economic and urban development agency for the city of Portland. We focus on building an equitable economy by carrying out a comprehensive range of economic development programs that support small business, improve access to workforce training, and create jobs for Portland residents. We work with partners to drive public attention and resources to different areas of the city, which helps Portland realize capital projects – parks, streetscape improvements, community centers –that would not happen on their own, making it a better place to live for all Portlanders.
The Technology Association of Oregon unites the region's technology industry and is a recognized leader in shaping and growing technology and business communities. We empower businesses and entrepreneurs through networks, events, resources and more. We are the force behind the regional tech industry - supporting entrepreneurs, connecting peers and decision makers, and helping establish the Northwest as a global hub for innovation.
Small Business Members

“Transatlantic business and trade is very active here in Portland and the surrounding region,” said Richard Biggs, Managing Partner of Atlantric, an international consultancy company based in Portland, Oregon, and BABC Board Member/lead director for the Portland regional BABC activities. “As companies continue to navigate operations here and across the pond, having a strong regional business association, comprised of these and other Portland-based organizations, will enable BABC to deliver valuable opportunities for professional connections and international programming, as well as grow the voice on important policy issues.”
BABC-PNW’s next major event is their Transatlantic Aerospace Symposium on September 12 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle. With a focus on technology breakthroughs transforming aerospace operations, the event is targeted to professionals interested in technology and the aerospace sector. Session topics focus on today’s hot issues including virtual and augmented reality, automation and robotics, and artificial intelligence, with a keynote from HorizonX on how technology is impacting Boeing operations, culture and contributing to maintaining the company’s position as the leader in the aerospace industry. The event also presents an opportunity to connect with tech and aerospace professionals from the UK and the U.S. and cultivate transatlantic relationships for economic development. Registration is open at www.babcpnw.org/tas and sponsorships are available.
