Richard is an international business development expert, former CEO and admits suffering from being a serial entrepreneur. Over the past 25 years he has held senior positions at numerous American companies while being based in Europe, Asia and North America.

 

Richard has taken companies from sectors including consumer electronics, software, manufacturing and technology into the EU, Middle East, Asia and Australasia. He has also been instrumental in taking companies from his native England onto the World stage.

 

In addition to starting six companies of his own – four in the US and two in the UK, Richard has mentored Oregon and SW Washington early-stage companies for many years.  He currently serves on the Federally Appointed District Export Council of Oregon and recently joined the Mayor of London’s International Business Program as a mentor.

 

Richard’s current home is Portland, OR, where he is joined by his Scottish wife and two daughters – the oldest having already lived in 3 Countries by the time she was 18 months old. When Richard isn’t working he is delighted to talk about global trekking, Indian food, football (one with a round ball & feet), the masters swimming scene and fast cars–especially Porsche.
