Jerry Leishman and Andy Watkin-Child will host a panel discussion, and provide an overview of the recent changes with cybersecurity requirements issued by the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. President Biden's executive order. You will learn how the cybersecurity landscape and mandatory requirements are changing for companies seeking to do business with the U.S. Department of Defense.  Participants will learn the essential planning steps necessary to navigate the increasingly complex U.S. cybersecurity environment and leverage an early adopter approach to get secure and compliant, stay compliant, and win new business. Jerry Leishman

Jerry is active nationally on the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification accreditation board (CMMC-AB) standards workgroup, a Provisional CMMC Assessor & Registered Practitioner (RP). Jerry speaks nationally on DFARS and CMMC impacts, and partners with private/public organizations to increase the Pacific Northwest Defense and Aerospace manufacturer awareness.

Andy Watkin-Child, CSyP, CEng, MSyI, AMAE

Andy is a certified security professional with 25 years of multi-industry cyber experience. Holding positions as diverse as Global Vice president of cyber risk for Santander Europe’s largest bank, European Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and head of operations risk Mizuho corporate bank, CISO of Penguin Random House, and Head of IT Rolls-Royce energy operations.

Andy holds Royal Charters in Security (CSyP) and Engineering (CEng). He is a member of the Board of the Security Institute and a freeman of the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals (WCoSP). He holds a place the UKs registered of Chartered Security Professionals recognized by the UK government's Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI).

Andy has been a member of the CMMC-AB standards working group since March 2020. The team of industry professionals which designed the CMMC AB assessment methodology. He provides companies across the European Defence Industry Base (DIB) with education, mentoring, and the tools to improve cybersecurity posture, promote cybersecurity implementation best practices, and assure the successful implementation of both enterprise-wide cybersecurity and of CMMC related regulation. He is the founding partner of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Europe (CMMC Europe).
